Today was such a great day. The boys had their friend's Owen and Ian over this morning for a playdate. They played so well together. Keegan and Owen spent the entire time making fish, dogs, and cats from little plastic beads that you put on a shape with little pegs sticking up. Once you've placed all the beads on each peg, I use a piece of wax paper to iron over and melt the beads together. Last year the boys didn't have near the attention span to do such a project and Tanner still doesn't, but Keegan really got into it. Owen and him made about 5 pieces each, with each piece taking close to 15-20 minutes each. They loved it.
Meanwhile, Tanner and Ian were having a fun time with each other. They were being so silly and doing all kinds of crazy things. You can see in the video how they had a blast jumping off the stairs into a pile of pillows. It was great to hear them laugh so much. I absolutely love hearing the boys really laugh. You know, that deep belly laugh that makes you want to laugh too.
The boys played with Tyler, across the street, later that day and then we met Scott for icecream around 4pm. Great day! And tomorrow will be even more fun for us as we travel to Arizona to stay with Christy and Chris. The boys can't wait to see their cousins! We told them we will leave first thing in the morning when they wake up. I really wouldn't be surprised if they run into our room at 5am! Oh well, nothing an extra shot of espresso can't help.
