Oh Shit!

Yes, you read that right. Those are the words that came out of Keegan's mouth today. We were in the parking lot at the baseball fields having just arrived for Scott's Old Timer's game, when Scott realized he forgot his sports underwear and would have to go back for them. Keegan said "oh shit" and snapped his fingers while looking at Scott. At first Scott thought he heard him wrong and so casually asked him, "what did you say?" So, again Keegan said "oh shit" while snapping his fingers. He said it so calmly as if he were saying oh shucks, like it was no big deal. Scott asked him where he heard that from and Keegan said, "everyone was saying it. You and mom say it." Which we do not! I will set that record straight! Scott thought he heard Keegan say he heard Chris saying it, which would easily explain things since everyone was saying it when we were at the Lodge this past weekend. I'm honestly not surprised and won't be surprised if more words are said because Keegan and Tanner were introduced to a lot of new words last weekend that we don't say around here.

So, after Keegan explained where he heard the word from, Scott told him that's not something mom and dad say. He corrected him and said we say "oh shucks" or "oh darn." Keegan just said, "oh, ok" like he must have misheard the word or something. So innocent yet trying to fit in with the adults and try new words. Scott and I were cracking up tonight about it. So funny!
