Mother's Day Tea

Each of my boys had a Mother's Day Tea in their classrooms yesterday. They each made invitation's for me to attend a Tea party in their class with them. Many preparations went into this party.
Tanner's tea party was first. All the kids
made their mom's hats to wear and a special card that said how much they
love us. The kids sat on our laps in a chair
and we dined on strawberry's, raspberry tea and praline cookies.
The kids were so proud of hosting this tea party for us. It was adorable to see how excited Tanner was to have me there with him at a special tea he had prepared for me. He was very proud of the food they had for us, the card he made just for me, and one I told him the color of carnation flower he picked out for me was my favorite, he was especially proud of that. It was a very special time to share with him and made me so thankful to be his mom.
Keegan's tea party was later that day in the Kindergarten room. Again we had the same food, but this time each kid served their mom as she sat at their spot at the little tables. Keegan also was so proud to serve me and take care of me. He was very excited to give me the gift of his handprint in clay. He sang a really cute song with the other kids about how much mom's do for each of
them and how they care for them. It was precious. I was a little sad to think of how fast this year has flown by. Keegan will be moving on to 1st grade next year at the "big" public school. No more little, Mission Lutheran to cuddle and swaddle him. I made sure I enjoyed every minute of the tea party and loved being with Keegan. On the placemat he made for me, he said he loved the way I cooked steak for him. So cute. What sweet memories to treasure!
