Some people wouldn't enjoy it as much as we did. Some people wouldn't feel like they were really celebrating Christmas. Some would feel cheated on the whole experience of "Christmas". But to us, it was perfect.
Mimi and Papa would be spending Christmas with Christy and Chris in Phoenix this year, so we celebrated Christmas together a week early at the PUD. We didn't have a huge Christmas tree and gourmet dinner. No, we had a little fake tree about 3 feet tall and pizza, but it was great. We went to the spa with Mimi and Papa first. The boys did the Polar Bear Plunge into the cold pool and then would run to the spa to warm up. Of course, Keegan was the first to be talked into it. He has more guts than I ever thought of him. Tanner, always being a little more hesitant, evalutated the situation many times and after watching Keegan do it a few times, he tried it too.
After the spa we walked back to the PUD and enjoyed pizza and warm clothes. We then exchanged gifts and had so much fun watching the boys open their RipRiders from Mimi and Papa. They were so excited! It was an awesome gift for them.
We enjoyed our time together and are so thankful to be able to spend time together and see each other open presents in person. We are very blessed with such an awesome family.
